Public health is critical in the community and in determining how people live in the community. One of the issues that I am interested in is people’s lifestyles. Lifestyle is very critical in determining people’s health in terms of immunity and also obesity issues. Obesity is a leading cause of deaths in the United States (Greenberg, 2013). Lifestyle involves how people exercise in the community and their way of feeding. I am mainly concerned due to the increased obesity in the community, and there is a need to address the lifestyle to reduce chronic diseases. I am motivated to ensure that people live healthy lives while taking the best diet that is beneficial to their health. Statistics indicate that obesity is one of the growing health issues in the United States and catalyzes chronic diseases. Lifestyle is an issue related to public health because it determines the health in the community. I am specifically targeting to ensure people are in a position to live healthy in the community for my assigned community. It will help to promote population-focused health that focuses on the community as a whole.
